Our Chosen Curriculum

Mathematics: Dimensions Math

A comprehensive, rigorous PK–8 curriculum designed to foster deep conceptual understanding rather than rote memorization, using the “concrete-pictorial-abstract” approach. Dimensions bridges Singapore Math methods with American educational standards, featuring vibrant, engaging lessons that emphasize mental math, problem-solving, and critical thinking.

Science: Elemental Science Classic Series

Designed to focus on the classical style of teaching, reading from excellent reference books, conducting hands-on scientific demonstrations, and notebooking. Elemental Science Classic Series cycles through biology, earth science, chemistry, and physics so that students continually deepen their knowledge.

Literacy: First Start Reading

A “common sense” approach, teaching correct pencil grip, manuscript form, consonant/short vowel sounds, three-letter word formation, and blends to ensure efficient reading mastery in early grammar School grade levels. Materials are straightforward and consistent, which provides a comforting, predictable routine for children.

Grammar: Well Ordered Language

Designed to teach grammar through a structured, sequential approach that treats sentence analysis like solving a puzzle, moving from identifying parts of speech to understanding overall sentence structure. It emphasizes classical education principles—repetition, logic, and mastery—using choral analysis to help students write and speak with clarity, accuracy, and joy.

History: The Story of the World

Presented as a cohesive and entertaining narrative to make world history accessible and engaging for children. It provides a clear, sequential path through history making it easier for students to see cause-and-effect and the flow of time. While heavily rooted in Western civilization, the curriculum balances its narrative by including events, cultures, and myths from Asia, the Americas, Africa, and the Middle East.

Latin: Prima Latina

A gentle, introductory Latin program designed by Memoria Press for young students (grades K–4) who are new to both Latin and formal grammar. It provides a simple, structured approach that builds a strong foundation, featuring lessons that cover vocabulary, basic grammar, derivatives, and prayers/hymns in a manageable format.

The curriculum at Noble Roots Classical Academy has been carefully and thoughtfully curated to provide a rigorous education and foster profound critical thinking skills.
